The 1994 - 1997 Chevrolet® ZR-2® and GMC® Highrider® mudflap kit (patent pending)

THE ACCESSORY THAT IS A NECESSITY.
Finally, there is a mudflap kit specifically designed for your ZR-2®
or Highrider® pick-up. You will no longer spend hours cleaning your
truck, only to become frustrated because it never stays clean for long.
This is caused by the 4" wider stance of the ZR-2® and Highrider® , which
enables dirt and other debris to easily be kicked up onto the body panels.
Let the frustration end! The mudflaps will stop up to 90% of dirt and
debris that would otherwise be kicked up onto the body panels and they look
great too! Not only will the mudflaps keep your truck clean, but they also
will eliminate most of those nicks and scratches that occur when large
rocks or debris are thrown up onto the body panels. (picture 31jpg)

The kit includes only the best, top quality parts and materials. 11
½" wide x 17 ½" length mudflaps, which are strong, but flexible. Precision
die-cut spacers allow flush mounting of the rear mudflaps. 242 Loctite®
threadlock ensures that the nuts and bolts will not become loose, even
under the most severe conditions. Three 5/16" grade 8 flanged, powder
coated bolts and zinc plated nuts secure every mudflap. In addition to the
three 5/16" bolts, each rear mudflap uses a #8 x 1" self-tapping powder
coated screw. Most importantly, there is an excellent, comprehensive
illustrated instruction manual. The instructions tell you beforehand all
the necessary tools needed and offer many helpful hints to make the
installation process very easy.

Powder coating is not paint, but a plastic media applied to the
surface of the bolt and baked to 400° F. Powder coating is one of the
strongest protective finishes available today! In fact, it is nearly
indestructible and can withstand a lot of abuse. Durability that is
necessary inside the wheelwell of a 4 x 4 vehicle.

The kit is designed and engineered for easy installation. All the
mudflaps and spacers are pre-drilled, drastically reducing installation
time and aggravation. Best of all, the fender flares do not have to be
removed to install the mudflaps! Only 3 screws have to removed to loosen
each front fender flare and 4 screws and two nuts have to be removed from
each rear fender flare. An accessory that was thought to be difficult, if
not impossible, to add to your ZR-2® or Highrider® could not be any easier
to install.

The following logos will be available. From left to right: GM®, GMC®,
plain and Bowtie® . (logo jpg)

All of the photographs shown are of a 1996 ZR-2® extended cab, stock
lift and suspension, 31 x 10.5 tires and with the Bowtie® logo on the
mudflaps.

There were many countless hours of research and development to find
the optimal positioning and proper esthetic value for the mudflaps. The
mudflaps overlap the sidewall of the tire ¼ - 3/8" and have a 10" overhang
on the front and rear. The mudflaps overlap the tread of the tire over an
inch to ensure most, if not all debris will not contact the body panels.

The following photographs represent a close-up of the rear mudflap
design and front mudflap design. The rear mudflap and die-cut spacer are
contoured to each other, creating a quality fit and finish. The front
mudflap bolts as well as the rear bolts and screws are inserted into
pre-drilled holes. This eliminates a lot of measuring and drastically
reduces installation time and aggravation. The picture on the top left
illustrates the small screw in the middle. This screw is tightened into an
original factory hole. This design makes it very easy to align and
assemble the rear mudflaps. (picture 11,12 9,10 jpg)

The 1997-2000 front mudflap kit features a stainless steel retaining
bracket that is bolted with the factory lower wheelwell bolt (photo not
available at time of print). The retaining bracket is then bolted on to
the mudflap, holding it away from the tire. This is necessary because of
the very tight tolerances inside the wheelwell. The bracket, as well as
the bracket hardware are all made of stainless steel.

Note: Many ZR2/Highrider are known to sag in the front end. If your
vehicle is low in the front there is a greater possibility of the tire
rubbing against the mudflap. Damage is unlikely to result, but it may.
It is more annoying than anything else. Consult your local dealer and
inquire about the proper "Z" height. Our instructions go into detail of
how to adjust the "Z" height.

The following photographs illustrate the clearance between the tire
and the mudflap. Clearance between the mudflaps and front tires was a
major concern with many ZR-2® and Highrider® owners. Clearance is
sufficient with the front and rear mudflaps. There is 1 ½" of clearance in
the rear (left photograph) and one inch in the front (right photograph).
