Mounting an amp, The better way.

Mounting an amp, Phase 2
I began by removing the carpet below the rear trim piece below the window, I had
prevoiusly removed my jack and lug wrench mount, otherwise I would be removing that too.
I used the piece of carpet as a template on a piece of 1/4" plywood, cut out the shape.
The piece of wood wasn't long enough so I cut out an end piece, I curved it to match the
trim piece surrounding the rear jump seat for a better fit.
Then I covered the outer side with 3M spray glue, after 1 minute I laid the carpet out and
put the wood on top of it, glue side down, Cut around it,...
....this is the result, I let the glue dry for about 15 minutes, making sure it was firmly
attached to the wood.
I had to remove the trim piece next to the third door so that the wood would slide into place.
Slid it in,
Then put it all back together.
Then I could install my accessories, the 10" Soundstream SPL sub and box,
The Kenwood (old I know) amp (80 watts).
I attached all my wires nice and neat, and NEVER had to put holes into the back of my cab.
